HR shouldn’t be the reminder service. Build a recurring process once in Automation Studio, and the routine steps keep moving on their own. People step in when a decision is needed.
All seven tasks have an owner and a date. Kim, Aksel and Sigrid each get theirs when it is due, and you see at once if one is late.

Approvals and judgement calls still go to a person. For input on a case, there’s a Simployer HR expert.

Managers approve in Teams, the warehouse reports sick on the phone, and the CFO asks in Claude or ChatGPT. Payroll stays in Visma, Fortnox or Tripletex, and gets its figures from Simployer.

What is Automation Studio?
Automation Studio is where HR sets up the processes that come back again and again, such as onboarding, parental leave, sick leave follow-up and offboarding. You decide what happens, when and who does it, and the routine steps then run on their own.
What can start a workflow?
A change in the employee record. That can be a first day, reported sick leave, registered parental leave, an absence of more than 14 days, a new title, a new office or a last day. A date can start it too, such as five days before a birthday.
Do I need to know how to code?
No. HR builds and changes workflows directly in Simployer, without code or a ticket to IT. The templates open in the same builder, so you can change any step.
Can I test a workflow before it goes live?
Yes. Run it against a real employee record first. Nothing real goes out while you test, and it only runs for everyone in scope once you publish.
What happens if a step is missed or someone is away?
The step is marked overdue in the run, and the person who owns it gets a reminder. You can remind them again or hand the step to someone else, and the steps that don’t depend on it carry on.
Who can see a run and its data?
The same people who can see that employee’s record in Simployer. A run follows the roles you already have, so a manager sees their own team and HR sees the rest.
Do the templates follow Swedish and Norwegian employment law?
The templates marked Checked by HR experts were set up with our HR experts, and they keep them up to date when the law changes. You can change any step to fit your own routines.
Which package is it in?
It’s part of Complete, and you can also add it on its own to any package.
