Equal pay reporting is more than finding the gaps.

Equal Pay compares the work fairly, shows what’s behind each pay difference, and keeps your reasoning in one report. So you’re not left with a number. You know what it means, and what to do next.

Sound familiar?

Comparing pay is never as simple as it sounds.

  • The spreadsheet carries the law.Lönekartläggning_2026_FINAL_v3.xlsx, with formulas only one person understands.
  • Job titles don’t tell you the work.Different titles, different structures. Working out what to compare takes real judgement.
  • A gap isn’t an explanation. The numbers show a difference. Why it exists is a separate question, and someone will ask.

Who it’s for. Fair pay, with the reasoning shown.

  • HR

    The law’s steps, in order.

Group, evaluate, and analyse. The report is ready to send in.

  • Employees

    An answer when they ask.

Average pay for their group and equivalent groups, split by gender.

  • CEO

    No surprises about pay.

Pay equity checked before it becomes a board-level question.

  • CFO

Fix pay while it’s still a salary-review decision.

One pay-gap report that doesn’t hold costs more than the system.

Job evaluation

Compare the work, not the job titles.

Score each role against ready-made criteria for knowledge, responsibility, effort, and working conditions. The weightings start from Swedish and Norwegian practice, and you can adjust them to the decimal. Roles of equal value end up in the same group, whatever they’re called.

Equal and equivalent work, grouped step by step.

Pay analysis

Spend the time where pay actually differs.

Equal Pay compares pay for women and men in every group and flags only the groups that need a closer look. Open one, and see what each salary is made of, from base pay to supplements.

Straight to the two groups that need a look.

Equivalent work

See when higher-valued work is paid less.

Equal Pay also compares across groups. When a group is valued higher than another but paid less, you see it straight away, so the difference gets an explanation or an action.

The comparison the spreadsheet never quite made.

Documentation

The reasoning stays with the numbers.

Write your explanations and planned actions as you go. Equal Pay keeps the evaluation, the analysis, and your reasoning in one report, so nothing has to be pieced together when management, a union rep, or an auditor asks.

Export the report to Word, ready to send in.

Good to know

Questions we hear on every demo.

What is pay mapping?

Pay mapping, or pay equity analysis, compares what women and men are paid for equal or equivalent work. It checks whether differences can be explained by factors such as role, experience, or performance. Equal Pay supports this with structured job evaluation, pay analysis, and a report that keeps your reasoning.

How does Equal Pay find pay gaps that need explaining?

You score each role against evaluation criteria, so people doing equal or equivalent work are grouped together. Equal Pay then compares pay for women and men in every group, and across groups, and flags only the groups that need a closer look.

An employee asks for average pay in her group. Can Equal Pay answer?

Yes. Open her group to see average pay, split by gender, and add the groups doing equivalent work to compare.

Does Equal Pay cover the EU Pay Transparency Directive?

Equal Pay helps you prepare for what the directive requires: a structured pay mapping, equal and equivalent work compared, and average pay by gender for any group when someone asks. Reporting pay data to the authorities isn’t part of Equal Pay today. National rules are still moving, and our HR experts can tell you what applies to you.

Does Equal Pay help with documentation for audits?

Yes. The analysis becomes the record. Job evaluation, pay analysis, explanations, and actions are kept in one report, so you can show how you reached each conclusion.

Where do the employees come from?

From Simployer One, the same people record as the rest of your HR. You can also import them from Excel.
