What:
- What would be the ideal outcome for you?
- What is challenging about that?
- What have you done, tried, or considered?
- What worked, what didn’t, what did you learn?
- What can you accomplish that doesn’t depend on others?
How:
- How will you prepare for that?
- How can I support you in reaching your goals?
- How would you advice a colleague if they were in your shoes?
- How have you handled something like this before?
- How will we measure success?
Who:
- Who will be impacted—positively or negatively—by these potential changes?
- Who inspire you, colleagues, managers or someone else?
- Who else could offer you feedback?
- Who are the key people in making you reach your goals?
- Who else do you think needs to be involved in this?
Where/When:
- Where/when do you feel you are at your personal best?
- When do you experience frustration, impatience, irritation etc.?
- Where might you experience resistance?
- Where would you like to be in your career in 3-5 years?
- When are you going to start?
