Words from our CEO

Working life, as we know it, has been undergoing a digital revolution in the last couple of years. There are many questions and few answers about how we find the right balance between flexibility and trust in terms of home office versus office hours, and the struggle to attract, retain and develop talents, to name a few.

As the new CEO of Simployer, I have entered in an incredibly exciting time, in addition to all the operational issues, HR is undergoing a major transformation - from being an administrative support function to becoming a strategic and business-critical function. Simployer has been the preferred HR partner for our customers for several years and we intend to maintain this position.

Most industries are now experiencing an intense battle for talents. One of the most important tasks for the coming year is to recruit, retain and further develop employees.

HR trends for 2022

Most industries are now experiencing an intense battle for talents. One of the most important tasks for the coming year is to recruit, retain and further develop employees. Simployer has taken the pulse of working life in Sweden and Norway through the report "Simployer Puls 22" (read the Swedish report here, and read the Norwegian report here). Through our own experts, our customers, and employees, we have gained good insight into the needs of younger and older employees, the challenges we will face with the generation gap and the changed composition of skills.

To be at the forefront of changes in the commitment and motivation of employees, it is important to take the pulse of the workplace and be able to take concrete actions when required.

Higher demands on feedback

For many, the annual employee interview has been one of the few permanent point of contact for managers and employees where they talk about more than just goals and achievements. To be at the forefront of changes in the commitment and motivation of employees, it is important to take the pulse of the workplace and be able to take concrete actions when required. At Simployer we believe this insight is becoming increasingly important for leaders and organizations - as long as the battle for talent continues. It is just as much about retaining competence and further developing it as chasing new colleagues.

Simployer is here to support you

The last two years have been marked by digitalisation and have shown both our customers and us how important HR technology is to ensure efficient personnel management and employee development. At the same time, we have also received confirmation of the importance of our advisers who have guided our customers through "unknown terrain" in a demanding period.

We firmly believe that the combination of flexible HR technology and expert help tailored to local needs will be essential for all companies. It is no longer just a matter of being able to have efficient administrative processes but retaining and further developing the most important resource in all companies, our people. We know that companies with highly motivated and committed employees create greater value.

When you want to inspire, lead, engage and develop your employees, Simployer is here for you. We will continue to invest heavily in solutions that combine knowledge and technology in a way that helps you reach the full potential of your employees.

Best regards,

Vigleik Takle
